I see a steady and constant theme through my messages with all of you......and that is.......imperfection.....
"i was doing so great but then we went to a birthday party and i didn't say no"
"everything was great until my husband brought home cake"
"i was on track until we decided to go out for dinner and then i fell off the wagon......and then indulged again, and then again and now i have lost all motivation.......im so far gone."
TRUTH.....THIS IS PART OF THE JOURNEY......
the process is NOT a straight line.......its a clusterf*uck of twists and turns and ups and downs and all over the places........
it's filled with emotional moments, both positive and not so positive that take us for a bit of a roller coaster ride. I've been there......I know that it's not always easy. In fact, its often a steep climb sometimes to get to the "on track" part where you start seeing results, which helps to keep you going.
The truth is that falling off the wagon, or having a "treat" or "cheat" meal SHOULD be part of the process. This allows us to stay on track......i know it sounds weird, but we NEED these little indulgences so that we don't go on massive binges......if we have a little every week (once a week....pick a day), we are better able to stay on track.
The trouble comes into play for most when you go two days, then three days....then four and five and so on. You feel ass draggy and so you just keep rolling with that and before you know it.......you're back to that emotional and mental state where you felt hopeless.
We are NOT perfect.....and NO ONE expects you to be, EVER. We are human....and THIS is a lifestyle. Fall off, dust off, shake it off, get back up and remember why you contacted me in the first place.
Think of how far you've come.......think of the progress you HAVE made.......think of the ways that you think of food and exercise now.......did you think like that before???? i bet not.....so consider yourself WAY ahead of the game, whether you've fallen for a day or a week.........
This is a ride that we're on together.......and together, through our posts, we can help to keep one another on track and pushing toward our individual goals.
You never know if YOUR post could be the difference between someone sitting on the couch or having pizza and getting up to push play or choose a healthy alternative. YOU matter. Your posts MATTER.........
Show up every single day, and make your journey count....imperfections and all!
