BELIEVE in YOU

We talk a lot about self-love in my challenge group....cause the reality is that any journey of "transformation" is more than simply physical....I would argue that there's a lot more going on, for many, mentally and emotionally, behind the scenes, that contributes to the overall sense of well-being, and results in physical change as an added bonus.

To create change in our lives, we have to be mentally prepared for it, and we have to BELIEVE in ourselves and all that we are capable of! When we don't believe.....we tend to give up very easily!

How many times have you been paid a compliment that you brush off? Have you ever stopped to consider WHY you're brushing it off? Is it because you don't truly BELIEVE it? or are you just humble and feeling embarrassed?

I know for ME, I typically brush off compliments that I don't believe! "Alida, you look so great today!" "oh this, thanks....its so old"......almost deflecting what was said to me......typically because of some sort of sense of "lack" or disbelief!

It truly doesn't MATTER what others think of us (well it does, but it won't help you to progress on a personal level) if we don't believe in it ourselves!

Do you ever stop to celebrate all that you DO WELL? or all that you have accomplished? How far you've come from where you once were? what you've overcome? or do you always cut yourself up? belittle, undermine, second guess, or downplay........
This is negative self-talk and it can be extremely detrimental! I'm not immune.....I struggle with this every single day! Even when I'm on my highest high, its like I stop at NOTHING to find SOMETHING wrong with myself.

It takes conscious efforts to change your mindset about yourself and BELIEVE in all that you are!!!

Today, I challenge you to LOOK IN THE MIRROR and say ONE nice thing to yourself!!! This is a very therapeutic experience, and may even evoke emotions and tears!!!! Know that YOU are worth celebrating!

Make them your REASON NOT your EXCUSE!

My 6 week old can't do it YET, but my 3.5 and 5.5 year olds CAN ;) I started this journey when Shanna was 2 months old, and Layna 2 years old.....and look at them now!!! It's all they know!!!

It wasn't always easy to workout with them awake....but over time, they got used to the fact that mommy took 30 minutes almost every day to do her exercises. Now it's part of OUR life.....they're seeing first hand, the importance of fitness and nutrition from both Mommy and Daddy!

I had a gazillion reasons NOT to workout today, but after checking in with my challengers, I dug DEEP and made it happen!
