Surround yourself with like-minded, positive people

Life is too short to spin your wheels surrounded by others who don't have the same outlook as you.  So many people struggle with constantly having to FIGHT to be happy while surrounded by others who are negative, naysayers, and just unhappy in life.  It's SO important to filter out the noise and surround yourself with people who are on the same mission as you.  People who are happy.  People who are positive.  People who genuinely care to see you happy.

You are the sum average of the 5 people you spend the most time with.  If those people are draining you of your positive energy and sucking the life out of you one day at a time, maybe it's time to re-assess your company and determine if the relationship is worth continuing on with.  It's OK to change.  It's OK to have BEEN a negative nancy and yet, change, and distance yourself from people who used to be good for you, but who maybe aren't what you need in your life right now.  YES, it would be amazing if we could learn and grow TOGETHER with our friends and family, but it doesn't always happen.  People change and lives diverge.  We have different outlooks and different aspirations.  We have different beliefs and different passions.

If you find that you're constantly stuck in this cycle.....its OK to create some distance and a protective barrier for yourself so that you can continue on your path to positivity and happiness.  You cannot be blamed for taking care of YOU and surrounding yourself with people who truly make you better.

Fear often holds us back from making these decisions....fear that we will hurt feelings and cause drama....fear that things will be different....but what about setting yourself free from something that's causing you to perpetually spin your wheels? constantly pulling you in a direction that undermines the path you're on?  It's like 5 steps forward and 2 back.....struggling to fight with the negativity and noise.

It's OK to be you and to be true to the journey you are on.  It's not always easy, but its YOUR life and you should be free to live it as YOU choose, in a way that aligns with your goals and values for yourself and your family!!

That is all for today :)

The Beauty of YOU

I can honestly say that I'm SO guilty of this......though I've worked hard and have reduced how much I criticize myself over the last two years.

So many of us do nothing but cut ourselves up......we do our hair and we "hate it"....we get dressed and we "look fat"....we try to make something but it's not "good enough". Are YOU like this??? Do you find ways to reduce your self-worth instead of celebrating just how amazing you are?

I have found that working hard on LOVING MYSELF from the inside has helped me to love myself on the outside more completely. I STILL cut myself up though, as I believe that it's human nature, but I'm getting better.

Really working on how you FEEL and THINK about yourself is truly the ONLY way that you can CHANGE the way that you SEE yourself. I challenge you to start looking at yourself differently and be more aware of the ways that you talk to yourself.

When's the last time you truly FELT beautiful?? From the inside, out? I can bet that it's a FRACTION of the number of times that you felt like crap about yourself for one reason or another...........

STOP beating yourself down and find a way to lift yourself UP. In doing THIS...you will find SELF-LOVE and the BEAUTY of YOU.

Take a chance

You can't start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading the last one. So often we get caught up in analysis of existing circumstances that we become paralyzed and completely incapable of moving on to the next chapter.

Paralysis by analysis is REAL, and I often catch myself in it too, especially with all the chaos that has been my reality for the last month. Stress and anxiety can totally eat you up....and yes....those feelings often come with taking chances, but, nothing worth having ever came easy, and taking risks and chances is SCARY and very uncertain.

Shaun Corkery has really helped me to change for the better, continuously pushing me to move forward and grow more in my life. I've started taking more chances and oftentimes have blind faith that things will work out so long as I stay positive, work hard, and stay focused on what matters in life. My next tattoo is going to be two feet and a blindfold, as such, cause we are always making crazy life decisions on a whim, but somehow it all works out.

Life is too short to sit around and wait for things to happen to you. You've got to go out and MAKE THEM HAPPEN. If you want to open the next chapter....stop looking back. Take a chance and commit to seeing it through to fruition.

Stop worrying about what you have to lose and focus solely on what you have to gain. Take a chance and make a change.

My thoughts on this dreary Tuesday morning.

You CHOOSE

We ALWAYS have a choice.  We can SEE the best case scenario or the worst case scenario.  We can allow ourselves to be completely inundated with negativity if we CHOOSE to allow ourselves to be.

It's a conscious choice and one that isn't always easy.  It's HARD to see through the noise sometimes and stay optimistic and positive, but I'm a firm believer in the law of attraction and that the universe gives back what you project. If you actively CHOOSE to alter your perception you may be surprised at what you ACTUALLY see.

Think of it as a camera lens.....you can CHOOSE to capture an entire setting or focus in on ONE little thing that MAKES the setting ENTIRELY different.  THAT is an art.....a skill.....a talent.  How YOU alter the frame and the view can completely alter the outcome.

Today, I challenge you to alter your perspective :)  to SEE something completely differently and SMILE!!!!

My thoughts on this beautiful Thursday morning!

Fear of Failure

If you KNEW you could not fail at something....I mean, had SOLID assurance and an absolute NO FAIL guarantee....would you DO IT????

The truth is that many of us WANT to do something but we are SO scared of JUMPING IN for fear of failure......the thought of failing completely paralyzes us. It happens to all of us and it's human nature. Of course, you should always asses the pros and cons of your decisions in life, but without stepping outside your comfort zone, and if you always stay in the "safe zone", you may find yourself in a stagnant state and settling for less than what you COULD have or LESS happiness than you could LIVE in your life.

CHANGE is GOOD......taking risks is GOOD.....stepping outside your comfort zone helps you GROW and CHANGE........

What is THAT thing that you've wanted to do but have been too scared to do cause you don't want to FAIL??? THINK about it! What's the WORST that could happen?

Some of the most successful people failed NUMEROUS times in life before finding their path. Failing FORWARD is GOOD........we learn....we change....we grow!!

Your Choice

The glass can always be half full or half empty. How YOU choose to view it, deal with it....manifest it etc is entirely up to you

We all have lots of STUFF in our lives and you may think that your current situation is super duper BLAH but if you take a moment to reflect and really assess your life....maybe even look around or consider the hardships that others are experiencing (and I'm talking big things like cancer....illness, death, things that are a big deal and worth stressing over) you'll be better able to see the glass as half full.

Stop LOOKING for the negative in your life and START LIVING for the happy moments and the things that make you smile. Your "issues" are only as big as you let them be.

Choose to see the glass half full and you may just bring yourself your happiness.
